Terms of Service
Last updated 17 August 2026
01 Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Dawnboox ("we", "our", or "us") — a platform for publishing and scheduling posts to the social accounts you connect — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
02 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. By using Dawnboox you confirm that you are.
03 Your account
Dawnboox is currently a closed beta. Accounts are created from an invitation we issue, and an invitation is personal to the address we sent it to — do not pass it on. We may end or suspend beta access, and features may change or be withdrawn while the beta runs. We do not take payment for a beta account. If a paid plan becomes available to you, sections 07 and 08 apply in full and you will see what it costs before you commit to anything.
You agree to:
- Give accurate registration information.
- Keep your password to yourself.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access. Your settings list every device signed in to your account, and you can end any of those sessions yourself.
- Take responsibility for what happens under your account.
04 Acceptable use
You will not:
- Break the law, or use the service for anything you are not authorised to do.
- Publish content that breaches the community guidelines of the network you are posting to. Each network enforces its own rules and may reject or remove a post regardless of us.
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer or disrupt the platform.
- Use bots or automated tooling against our service without our permission.
05 Your content
You own everything you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and transmit that content for one purpose only: delivering it to the accounts you have chosen, at the time you have chosen. We do not use it for anything else.
06 The networks you connect
Dawnboox publishes through the APIs of third-party networks, and your use of each remains subject to that network's own terms. Those networks set their own limits on captions, media and posting frequency, and can change or withdraw their APIs at any time. We check what we can before you post and report what a network tells us afterwards, but we cannot guarantee that a given post will be accepted, and we are not liable for a network's own decisions or outages.
07 Plans and fees
Dawnboox has a Free plan and paid plans. The Free plan is genuinely free — no card, no trial period, no expiry. Paid plans raise the limits on connected accounts, scheduled posts and workspace members. Which plans are available to you and what they cost are shown on the billing screen in your settings before you commit to anything.
- Prices are in South African rand, and include VAT where it applies.
- You are charged for a whole billing period in advance, on the day you subscribe. That day becomes your renewal date.
- Payment is taken by our billing provider, Alviyora Invoicing, through a licensed payment gateway. Your card details go to that gateway and never reach Dawnboox — we hold only which plan you are on and whether it is active.
- Renewal is automatic until you cancel.
- We may change what a plan costs. If you are already subscribed we will email you at least 30 days before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
08 Changing or cancelling your plan
Moving up a plan takes effect immediately and is charged at the new plan's full price on the day you do it. That day becomes your new renewal date. There is no credit for the unused part of the plan you were on.
Moving down a plan, or cancelling, takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep what you paid for until then and you are not charged again. You can undo a scheduled downgrade or cancellation at any time before that date.
Fees are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the period you are in.
If a payment fails we will tell you and keep your plan running for a short grace period — currently seven days — while you sort it out. If it is still unpaid after that, your account moves to the Free plan. Your content, your connected accounts and anything already published are untouched; the Free plan's limits simply apply again.
09 Ending your account
You can disconnect any social account at any time, which immediately ends our access to it, and you can ask us to close your account entirely. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these Terms. After closure your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
10 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Dawnboox is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. The service is provided "as is", without warranties.
11 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Dawnboox against claims, losses or damages arising from your use of the platform or your breach of these Terms.
12 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes will be resolved in South African courts.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top changes whenever the text does, and we will tell you by email about anything significant. Continuing to use Dawnboox after a change means you accept it.
