Privacy Policy

01 Introduction
Welcome to Dawnboox ("we", "our", or "us"). This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use our platform, which publishes video, images and captions to the social accounts you connect — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Threads and Facebook Pages — either immediately or at a time you schedule. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and to complying with applicable data protection law.
02 Information we collect
We collect:
- Account information: your username and email address, and the timezone your browser reports, which we store so scheduled posts fire at the time you meant.
- Connected social accounts: the handle, display name and access granted by each network you connect. We never receive or store your password for any social network.
- Content you upload: the videos, images and captions you send us to publish, together with the delivery result each network returns.
- How your posts performed: once a post is published we periodically ask each network for its public counts — views, likes, comments, shares and similar — and store them against that post so you can see how it did. These are figures about your own post. We never receive information about the individual people who viewed or engaged with it.
- Billing information: if you take a paid plan, we store which plan it is, whether it is active and when it renews. We never receive or store your card number — payment details go straight to our payment provider.
- Sign-in and device information: for each device signed in to your account, a description of the browser, its IP address and an approximate location. This is what powers the signed-in devices list in your settings and the alert you receive when a new device appears.
- Waitlist requests: if you ask for an invitation to the beta, we keep the email address you gave us and whatever you told us about what you post. If you never take up a place, that is the only thing we ever hold about you, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Which page brought you: the first page of this website you arrived on, the website that linked you to it (its domain, never the page), any campaign tags in the link, and which button you clicked. We keep it so we know which parts of the site are worth having. It is never combined with anything from another site and never sold or shared.
- Cookies: see section 07.
03 How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Publish the posts you compose to the accounts you select, when you ask us to.
- Show you how a published post performed, using the counts each network reports about it. We do not use them for anything else and we do not share them.
- Show you what happened to each delivery, including the reason a network refused one.
- Email you when a post publishes or fails, if you have that turned on, and email you about security events such as a password change or a sign-in from a new device.
- Email you an invitation to the beta, if you asked for one. We do not use a waitlist address for anything else — no newsletter and no marketing list.
- Keep your account secure and let you review and revoke your own sessions.
- Operate, maintain and improve the platform.
- Meet our legal obligations.
04 Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- The networks you have connected: to publish a post we send its caption, media and per-post settings to that network, under its own API terms. This only ever happens for accounts you connected and posts you created.
- Anybody holding a client report link you created: on paid plans, you may generate a read-only link showing your workspace's aggregate figures — posts, engagement and per-network totals, never a credential or anything outside that workspace. Whoever holds the link can view it without an account; it grants nothing beyond that view, and you can revoke it at any time from Analytics.
- Infrastructure providers: the hosting, storage and email services that run the platform on our behalf, and which are permitted to use your data only to provide those services to us.
- Our billing provider: Alviyora Invoicing raises your invoices and collects payment through a licensed payment gateway (currently Paystack). It receives your name, email address and the plan you chose, in order to invoice you. Card details are handled by the gateway and never pass through Dawnboox.
- Legal authorities: where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
05 Data security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, and the tokens that authorise posting are held server-side in cookies that no script in your browser can read. Access to production data is restricted to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but you can see every device signed in to your account and end any of those sessions yourself at any time.
06 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct or delete your personal information.
- Disconnect any social account, which immediately ends our access to it.
- Turn off publish-result emails. Security emails are always sent.
- Request data portability, or ask us to restrict processing.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@dawnboox.com.
07 Cookies
We use only the cookies the platform needs to work: the ones that keep you signed in, the one identifying your device so it can appear in your signed-in devices list, the one recording your timezone so times render correctly on the first page load, and one that remembers which page of this website you first arrived on. That last one is written once, on your first visit, and is readable only by our own server — it records nothing about you and follows you nowhere. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and there is no third-party analytics script anywhere on this site.
08 Third-party links
Dawnboox links to the social networks you connect, and a published post links out to that network. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
09 Children's privacy
Dawnboox is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top changes whenever the text does, and we will tell you by email about anything significant.
